And, coincidentally, Usagi's star seed also looks like a flower.

They say in the episode that it's her star seed.

Actually, the senshi have already fought some monsters without attacks; in the S movie against those Ice dancers they all got beaten up, Makoto punched one of them and Setsuna tried to do something with her staff but they failed. In the R movie they fought those zombie-like people, Minako kicked one...

Usagi also bled in episode 9 when a youma cut her face, a male friend of Makoto's bled in ep. 49, and there's Seiya in ep 189.

No, he was not destroyed. He gave a flower of life to Mamoru so he could save usagi, then turned into ChibiFiore and flew away.
