Nope, the dark shading was in the original. I just checked my dub then sub DVDs.

I'd check the underside of the disc to make sure there's no smudge marks (fingerprints, etc), scratches or indents.

Yeah, but they cut it out of the normal episode, only leaving it in the Sailor Says segment...strange...I chose it because it's one scene I KNOW that has been cut for the DiC ...

I have all 14 DiC dub DVDs and have had only one problem: The far right side of the screen in the episode "Much Ado About Babysitting" is entirely in black and white:

An update, since this topic is stickied anyway:

Only DiC dub DVDs left at Rightstuf are #1, 12, and 5. #1 has 52 left, #12 has 13, and #5 has 54.

The S and SuperS individuals and boxsets are still available, but there's no sign of Classic or R. There are no movies, either.

I also missed the outers in the anime version. Technically they WERE in SuperS, but in the Special episode (like Usagi04 said above) [offtopic]...and yes, I truly wish that they would have picked up: - SuperS Specials - Ami-chan no Hatsukoi - Stars - The dubbed movies with the dubbed music and cuts...
