I'd go back to 1979 just to bitch-slap Jimmy Carter.

The rest would just be a perk.

I get really annoyed when everybody has to take things personally. Seems like I can't say anything to anyone without them feeling like I'm out to get 'em. This is why nothing ever gets done. People are too busy being offended over stupid shit. ¬_¬

I agree with the article. There's plenty of faulty logic in this plan. Kids get the wrong idea that junk is good for them, and, hey, a little bit of spinach in the brownie is not going to make up for the fact that they are eating a brownie . It's almost like saying that fries and ketchup count as ve...

You know it's bad when auctioning off used panties is the more dignified route.

I thought Strawberry Shortcake handled herself quite nicely, though.

Really, you think many people actively think and list all the specific conditions that can arise in every given situation and then choose a course of action???? While ideal, this is not practical for alot of reasons which I'm sure you can see already. As an example of paradigm thinking take theft. ...

The links don't work. :| The links are also over a year old. "Posted: Sat Feb 11, 2006 9:30 pm" Parallax just bumped an old thread. Oh--did I mention that some "GENIUS" in the Legislature decided that an amendment to allow TEACHERS TO CARRY GUNS IN SCHOOL would be a good idea? Actually, that was le...

The key word here is probably, we base ethics (and more importantly operational procedures) on paradigms, not nuanced specific conditions. Plus if a person is waiting to use a computer it is only ethically responsible for anyone not engaged in work to give up their seat. I know I've done that quite...

But, humans are not machines...we do not work all the time and the ones that do have (or develop) serious physical and psychological problems. People need to be able to have downtime and use it to relax, many times even when we are in a place primarily for work related purposes. Just look at the wo...

I dont blame the schools I blame whoever controls what funding they get whether its state or federal government. Our kids are getting the shaft when it comes to proper curiculums heck alot of schools have to beg for private funds just to keep art and music. Yes, and if we didn't spend so much money...

Dude, if you like all of the lolita fashions, then like 'em, wear 'em, and screw the "community." Any non-conformist fashion community that gets mad at you for not conforming it full of hypocritical twits.

This is the first file-sharing case to go to trial for the RIAA. Previous attention grabbing cases were settled out of court. Here's my favorite article on it. I agree with Jeff. It was ridiculous what happened in the media after her VMA performance. I hope she can clean up her act for the kids' sake, and earn back her dignity. It's...
