Don't know about the Hidama thing. But words in Japanese tend to have more than one meaning, and since a "Shooting star" quite literally could be a "Fireball", I wouldn't be surprised if it meant both things. I made a typo ^^;; I meant falling star, not shooting star ^^;; Damn the Sailor Starlights...

Thank you guys. I really, truely owe you all one :D Tomorrow I'm gonna put an end to this nonsense and give Amy her actual name in the proper language and not a substitute.

Questions about Japanese language

I've been having an on-going argument with a friend, and before I make a COMPLETE ass out of myself, I would like to ask some people at the forums who are fluent in the language if they know some answers. My main question is the definition of the word "hidama". My friend claims it just means "fireba...

This is a dream I had about Sailor Moon on vacation and wrote down the second I woke up, although I didn't actually type it up until recently. I was in something like a party hall and I got a drink. It may have been alcoholic ^^;; I was walking around and I spied Yaten, and I did something close to ...

Hmm...I might as well do some Illinois ones I've heard floating around, though I'm not sure if all these are completely spread around. Illinois has to be one of the most uninteresting states, maybe because I live there ^^;; I live in the Chicago area so most of the location clearing-up will be based...

The first Serayu was in Summer of 1993 and they had one once each summer for 1994 and 1995. 1996 was the year where they started having two per year, one always in the summer, the other one being in either spring or winter. Some of those would be the revision musicals, right? Because that would be ...

Re: Sera Myu

I'm also curious, how many musicals are there? On most sites they list 10-11, but somewhere I read there were more than 700. I think that there are 10-11 different musicals, as in different storylines, but the 700 is to how many performances they've done over the years. Does that make any sense? An...

Codename: Sailor V

Since this is Sailor V, no Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon discussion! :D I think Sailor V was an awesome prequel to Sailor Moon, although the same basic plot was used over and over again. You basically got an idol of some sort working for the Dark Agency, being reflected, and being zapped. One pleasant...

TV-N subbed it's first Sera Myu! Awesome! I'm not familiar with the musical name though, can't wait till it finishes! I'm also curious, how many musicals are there? On most sites they list 10-11, but somewhere I read there were more than 700. I'm confused :? Any favorite musicals? I've only watched ...

Just added a small little mod to help protect against double posting, and when testing it it looks like double posts will finally be a thing of the past. But the really cool thing I just added is a spell check feature. Now when typing or editing posts, there's a spell check button you can press to ...

Please don't say that this is just me being delirious, because I swear the added more acts in the reprint manga. I don't mean NEW acts, I mean they split them up more. From what I've seen (I own volumes 1-10) they split the original Act 33 into five or six different parts. (I'm not sure about any ot...

I remember in one S episode (Japanese episode 93 "Usagi Yearns! The Elegant Genius Michiru" English episode 86 "Bad Harmony) when Sailor Moon is yelling at the daimon, there were some errors. They forgot the red jewels in her hair, and even drew hair lines. I can't screencap it because the DVD playe...

What are some Sailor Moon names you horribly mispronounced before you learned better? It was sort of fun to write mine. I used all 6,000 characters just rambling about random things. I think that if there's still life on Earth it's OK to use any words you want, because even if we do have another language that isn't english, my thoughts are that technology may be so advanced that the ...
