That sounds like Barefoot Gen crossed with Sailor Moon, which would be interesting but VERY disturbing and violent (not in a fighting way, just violent in a gory reality of bombing way).

In case anyone was wondering, the last character was Taiki. I can explain the clues if you'd like, too, same with the Hotaru one. And yay, I won! There were a lot of challenging ones, too, though, especially the people who used pictures.

By the way, the answer was Hotaru. New clues!

1) This character's seiyuu also voices someone named Rei in another series.
2) Physically resembles two other "victim of the day" characters.
3) Is one of the few characters who is shown bleeding

That song is Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, and it's played in many "scary villain" scenes in Sailor Moon that I've noticed.

However, since it's a song that predated Sailor Moon by a lot, that may not have been a reference to the Eudial scene.

The only one I could find that really fit this was Momoko Momohara, since she fits two of the criteria, although I'm not sure about her protecting anyone. She does stick up for Chibi-Usa in school, though, so that might count.
