I'm completely against the death penalty, and I'd love to see it abolished in the US. First of all, it doesn't actually act as a deterrent to murder - so say two of my college professors. Sure, it might stop one or two people, but it won't stop a heat-of-the-moment type of murder (for example, wife ...

No idea if it's possible to watch a live stream online, but you can certainly get TV Tokyo and several other Japanese channels via satellite in North America. My Japanese professor in college did this, as did several of her friends. The International Channel also shows a fair bit of Japanese and Asi...

Usagi's my favorite. In all her incarnations, she's the unexpected heroine - who'd expect the girl with the pigtails, who's eternally late, doesn't have much book smarts, and far too naive for her own good to be the heroine? As for least favorite...normally the Starlights would go here, but their My...

It was in the interval between 45 and 46 - lots of upset parents called TV Tokyo and TOEI to complain that their kids got upset that their favorite characters got killed off. It's been several years since I heard anything about this, but a few reputable sources on alt.fan.sailor-moon confirmed it wa...

My list, by system: GameCube: - Tales of Symphonia - Donkey Konga - Paper Mario 2 (hopefully Nintendo will release a preorder disc with the first game, a la Zelda) GBA: - Kirby and the Amazing Mirror I won't be upset if I don't get this - GBA games are not a huge priority for me. PS2: Star Ocean: Ti...

It was hit and miss with the SMR set and the English dialogue. Our set doesn't have it, but a lot of people have reported that they do. ADV has a program to replace the discs with the English dialogue, should you get one. As for the missing episode, episode 68? was left out. Toei didn't want to give...

I very rarely read fanfiction, but a friend of mine linked me to a very cute Luna/Neville story ages ago, and since then I've found that the most likely pairing for Luna. ^^ As for Harry/Ginny...Harry's so close to the Weasley family by the end of OotP that I'd think he'd see it in the "That's my li...

A few more questions about concepts you use. Are fansubs simply English subtitles made by fans for Japanese region releases? And are these subs burned to the DVD or simple files like subtitles for DivX movies? And if I have got it right bootleg stands, in other words, for a pirate version? Am I rig...

Yeah, the girls were definitely lip-synching - I could hear the difference when watching it. Now, my review! Spoilers ahoy... [spoiler]The girls were cute... Usagi was really cute interacting with the audience at the start, and the scene where she handed out the microphones was also very cute. :) An...

Religion had nothing to do with this - it was all political. The terrorists were from Chechnya, a region of Russia that has been trying to break off and form its own country for several years now. I suspect the attack was related to the independence movement - it isn't the first time that they have ...

It hasn't been given nearly the amount of press it deserves. I saw the story over the weekend, but I did not know there were pictures. And I'm fighting tears because of them... I don't think I could handle seeing live footage. And I just want to yell at everyone involved, from President Putin on dow...

You can't up and switch completely, I don't think. I know you can use a Worldpass to create your character on a specific server. David and I both used a Worldpass from friends to do just this. Now all 4 of us are on the same server and we can play together. :) I believe you can use them to play on a...

By the way, if any of you are on Bismarck and are looking for a WHM to level up with, you are welcome to look me up. I'm often /anon (to keep from being constantly bothered with party invitations), but you can look up Niban Neko or Zylle and that will be me. :)

Yeah, you've said it a few times. :) Though you're more likely to call them my Phi sisters, I'll admit.

As for what we do... well, undergraduate and alumnae chapters are different in what they do. I was initiated as an alumna, so I can't speak very much about that experience. I do know the girls split their time between social events, philanthropy, and a few other projects, though. I'm active in my al...

Hee. XD Back on topic, I have a few stereotypes regarding sorority women I'd like to dispel. And yes, I am a sorority member; I'm a proud member of Alpha Phi. - We aren't all vapid. Look at our founders; in many cases our sisters were leaders in their time. That hasn't changed, despite the stereotyp...

I too, never wear makeup, with the exception of formal events. Even then, I go very light on the makeup. Why don't I bother? Because a) I'm not very good at it (at least when it comes to liquid eyeliner) and b) I just don't feel like spending the extra time in the morning to do that. I just prefer ...

It doesn't surprise me at all that she's singing in English - she spent a large part of her childhood in America, and she enrolled at Columbia University. Her English is at least as good as her Japanese, if not better.
