Final Fantasy VIII. The game that started the whole unfair bais opinion people have of Square caring more about graphics than gameplay in their RPGs. I don't know why THIS was the game that started it all, though...outside of cinemas, the graphics are horrible! Your characters look like sticks than ...

I loved Full Moon o Sagashite, and watched all of the anime. I read a few chapters of the manga, but it's really depressing compared ot the anime. And I'm not a fan of depressing manga (or ones with lost of angst in it, either, which Mitsuki herself seems to do for vritually half the manga from the ...

I agree with AnimeGuru. The choices of dubs HAD to be taken out a hat or popped out at random. 99.9% of anime fans would never put CardCaptors in the top 25 for anything, let alone for tv anime dubs. Animerica needs either better writers, or it needs to stop being a monthly commerical for Viz. One o...

Most of my DVD's give me no hassle (as most of mine are from ADV ^_^), but I've never been a fan of the CardCaptor Sakura DVD releases. My big problem is that there are no extras (ten anime sketches are NOT an extra, just like someone said about Big O) except in the beginning of the season's DVD's, ...

Well, being a 30 year old woman myself, I'm trying to figure out what that is supposed to mean? I don't sound any different than I did when I was ten. I think I said that, too. I meant that Misao's dub voice is done by a woman of that age, but the woman doesn't even try to remotely act to hide her ...

Re: Which came first?
It's true that Di Gi Charat was created to promote the Gamers anime stores, but before she stared in the animated adverts she appeared in a 4 panel manga series called 'Gema Gema' (I believe she still does) though those also advertise the Stores. So, with Di Gi Charat it is complicated. Technically...

Unflipped. It drives me nuts when it's flipped, mainly when that company HAS released unflipped manga. For example, my Big O manga. After writing all these little paragrahs about why they (Viz) hasn't flipped manga. Then all of a sudden, Big O is flipped, images are edited, etc. All Viz-released Po...

Battle Athletes OAV was pretty bad in the dub department. There was a lot of bad valley girl slang in it that I don't think anyone has heard since the 80s ("tubular", "outta sight", "cowabunga"). Don't forget that the dub has a lot more swearing. A LOT more. And I thought ADV were the only people w...

2. Beating Banjo-Tooie without using ANY of the codes you can get during gameplay or collecting extra honeycombs. 3. Beating any 150CC cup in Super Mario Kart with your character being small prior to selection (I think it's the Y and B buttons you have to press). 4. Beating Super Mario Bros. 1, 3, o...

The annoying irony is that I've read some reviews in the newspapers and online, and with one voice they're all saying how much better Prisoner of Azkaban is than the previous two movies because it wasn't slavishly faithful to the book. This tells me that A: none of the reviewers are fans of the boo...

Pokemon: the manga. It's more detailed (the characters have expressive eyes rather than just colored dots surrounded by white) Which one are you talking about? There's three or four in the U.S. alone (I assume you're talking about the one from Ono-san, though: Electric Pikachu Boogaloo, Pikachu Sho...

I also like to pretend Eikoden never existed -_- I've seen the first two episodes of Eikoden. So far this is what I'm getting- while, it's not terrible, this OVA wasn't really necessary. It's beginning to drag out the story too much. And God... Mayo is even worse than Yui was during most of the tv ...
