Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

Please, someone get this straight for me. Did the original Powerpuff Girls start out as an American or Japanese cartoon? I always thought it was American, but my friend told me it was Japanese. I'm not sure what to believe. Can someone help me out?

It started an an American cartoon, was translated into Japanese, and now being adapted into an anime.
All I've got to say is kickass! I've been a PPG fan since it's premiere in high school, and seeing this get made into an anime looks really promising. I really can't wait to see how this turns out. ^_^

I've heard about this. It seems like everyone's talking about it. I'm actually really hyped about the PPG anime. I really like Blossom and Bubbles' new looks, but I don't really like Buttercup's because she looks nothing like her original American counterpart. Hopefully, this show will actually have a plot. I used to like the American PPG cartoon at first, but then it got old because there wasn't any storyline, so hopefully this show will turn out to be good. I hope this gets a U.S. release or will be fansubbed.

That looks real good. My love for the Powerpuff Girls is slowly coming back.
In some of those pictures, it looks like they might be transforming.

Is it wrong to want to see American cartoons translated into Japanese and then subbed? If so, I may not want to be right. Let them do an anime South Park and you can sign me up.

Be careful with this one, there is a bit of a pun involved. Dr. Spooner described his visit to a castle: "In the center of the fortress was the Palace Court. The gated entrance to this area was the court palace."

Now that's just freakin' adorable. I really liked the old Powerpuff Girls episodes (the new one's just aren't the same). I hope it gets over here somehow. That would be weird tho...two different Powerpuff series. I think Bubbles looks like Palla Palla...and Buttercup is kind of disappointing. I don't like how they switched her color to blue and made her hair all messy. MojoJojo, however, is great looking. Angry monkeys rock.

I mainly have 2 questions about this.
1. Are they adding henshin sequences? 0_o
2. WHY is Buttercup wielding a hammer?

Looks more like a mallet to me...and i have no idea. For the same reason blossom has a yo yo. o_O;;
And I don't care for Buttercup's look either. The other two are awesome. But hers is disappointing.

Was it done with or without Craig McCracken's permission and/or blessing?
And before it gets released in the US, don't the Japanese producers have to get Mr. McCracken's and/or Cartoon Network final say to do it?
Finally, do you think he is involved in the project?
