This is a personality thing--all 16 possible types are healthy and have a useful part to play in society. The types are a bit confusing to those who aren't used to it, though, so here's all four dimensions...
E (extrovert) and I (introvert)
This doesn't necessarily deal with being shy or talkative or loud or whatever, it simply means how you get your energy. What I mean is, an E type gets energized from being around people, while I types get energized from being by themselves. Now this doesn't mean I types don't like people, they can have friends, they just generally prefer to have one-on-one conversations...or use more impersonal ways of communicating like the Internet or the phone.

S (sensing) and N (iNtuitive)
This one is kind of like that left brain/right brain thing. S types learn things with their senses, basically, and tend to take things at face value. They're often less creative and more practical. They think in steps...A to B to C. N types are (generally) the ones who think "out of the box," so to speak. They're more abstract thinkers and can go from A to C in one jump. That is, they're more likely to link things together that S types wouldn't think to link together. But of course N types tend to be more absent-minded, too, and they don't care as much about how things look...ideas count for them.

T (thinking) and F (feeling)
Do you think with your heart or with your head? Both are rational--T types have emotions and F types can be logical...but which do they value more? A good example of the difference between the types would be why someone might be a vegetarian. A T type might choose to not eat meat for health or environmental reasons, while an F type might feel sorry for the animals that are used as food. Also, F types tend to be more of "pleasers" while T types are often more argumentative.

J (judging) and P (perceiving)
The type names sound weird, but it's one of the easiest differences to spot. It's basically who is more organized? The J types like things settled and organized, while the P types like lots of choices and tend to be disorganized. Both are needed in jobs, however, a J type might be good at keeping things in order but a P type would adapt to changes in the work procedure better.

Now, before anyone gets mad at this being a pigeonhole, it's not. All four dimensions are on continuums. One doesn't have to be one type ALL the time, one's just usually on a certain side of it. I'm a good example of this. I'm an INTP, but...
I may (sometimes) be a bit assertive for an I type (actually, this is one I'm rather extreme with)
I'm also rather extreme on the N side, but even I have the more S type trait of taking what people say literally...but then again, sometimes I think there are hidden meanings and implications that aren't there.
My T side is why I take Taiki's side in the comet story...but then again, I certainly have had my share of emotional outbursts
Err, as for P...I'm pretty much extreme on that too, except I have this way of not being very varied with the food I like to eat, but that might be more of my caring about ideas more than physical stuff

My type is INFP (Introverted Intuitive Feeling Perceiving).

Many of my friends feel that I allow myself to be walked on, because I'll forgive virtually anything. But I understand that everyone is good.(except George W.)

It says the Virgin Mary is an INFP. That's really cool.

Heh this is so true about me.

But I'm more extroverted in the sense that I like being around people, and listening. Not so much because of being talkative. I'm not THAT talkative, and when I meet new people, I'm shy.

It means you have the same personality type as me. Okay, to be serious, look at my initial post. I explained what the I, N, T, and P parts meant, as well as the others.

This page, the INTJ profile, pretty much sums my personality up. Which is surprising, considering most personality quizzes always get me all wrong.

All of the personality profiles on that site (linked above) make for a pretty interesting read... Yes, I read them all. And yes, I have way too much time on my hands. :P

INTP.
