I apologize if I am sounding like I live under a rock, but what exactly did Studio Ghibli do that would make them an example for Disney?

I can't believe Disney is making a Cinderella 3.

I'll shamelessly admit I loved Simba's Pride. I don't know if it was because it was released when I was still young enough, but it still has a special place in my heart.

I don't get the "midquel" craze, like Fox and the Hound 2. It didn't change a lick of what happened later in the first movie, so what's the point? (Money.)

And The Land Before Time really needs to stop. I loved, loved, loved the first one, and the second and fourth ones were decent, but that's it.

Land Before Time does need to stop. I love the first one too. But the rest are just kinda, bleh.
The new Cinderella movie scares me.

I think that one line may just make this movie awesome.

I think they are trying to make Cinderella a strong female character. I think they kind of forgot about the time period it takes place in. In the first movie she was a sixteen year old girl living with an abusive stepmother. Since childservices didn't exist back in the middle ages and servant woman didn't exactly have high social status, she really kind of was helpless. But she remained optimistic even though her life was crappy.

It's like mario party, you think of new stuff to put in, but it's STILL THE SAME FREAKING THING.

Also--Midquels = BAD. VERY VERY BAAAAAAD. *shudders* I had to watch Lion King 1 1/2 once... I'm scarred for life.
