I never really heard of him, but I have heard of his son, and I'm sorry for their loss. Even if it was 6 years ago, the pain never truly goes away.
Bob: People! Tiff had to put the crying Usagi banner up! Enter the contest!!! D8
Tiff: They must love making Usagi cry. ;_; poor Usagi.

Bumper Sticker: A villiage in Texas is missing its idiot. Send Bush home.

The idiot of 2010: Arnold Schwarzenegger sucks ass! He killed Tookie!

Sailor V: Do not worry! We will all be good little kids and when you come back, everything will be the same. *The place burns up as soon as Tiffu leaves*

Well, everuones going to miss Dale Earnhardt, the man in black. I remember the day he died 6 years ago in Feb. 18, 2001(3 mounths after Sailor Moon got cancelled), I feel very sorry for him, my sister cried dring the night.Aya Reiko wrote:That was like... almost 6 years ago.![]()
Aside from die-hard NASCAR or Earnhardt fans, who cares about it anymore?
I wish I have meat him before he died.
I even heard in 1994, Dale accepted the trophy for his seveth, and last, championship.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you there. I didn't know him, so I don't miss him. It sucks for his family and all, but on a personal level, it doesn't affect me.ERIC11940 wrote:Well, everuones going to miss Dale Earnhardt, the man in black.

Same here. If someone should mention Earnhardt it will take a few seconds for me to remember that he died. I don't miss at all or even remember him for that matter.Slrjoecool wrote:I'm gonna have to disagree with you there. I didn't know him, so I don't miss him. Everybody was a baby once, Arthur. Oh, sure, maybe not today, or even yesterday. But once. Babies, chum: tiny, dimpled, fleshy mirrors of our us-ness, that we parents hurl into the future, like leathery footballs of hope. And you''ve got to get a good spiral on that baby, or evil will make an interception.
Uhh, call me crazy, but wasn't Johnny Cash the one referred to as the Man in Black?
I'm sorry that the man died, but he died playing in a dangerous sport. I'm amazed that more people that compete in NASCAR haven't died. I mean, you take fast turns and traveling under dangerous speeds around other cars that are taking fast turns and traveling under dangerous speeds.
I feel sorry that there was a loss of life and for the pain his family had to endure at such a tragic event, but it doesn't personally effect me. As I said, he played in a dangerous sport and these things happen.
I suppose things like this bothers me. The death of a celebrity seems to always get more attention than the people who had dedicated their lives to helping others, like Mother Teresa. She died 10 years ago and because she died on the same week as Princess Diana no one seems to give a damn. -__-

And really, why shouldn't we be afraid? In case you haven't heard, life is terminal. Cigarettes will kill you. So will your cellphone. Your car is a deadly weapon and alcohol is a quiet killer. Don't lick the lead-based paint on the walls. Don't lick the back of a postage stamp and certainly don't lick any strangers! That will bring you down quickly indeed. Don't drink the water but don't drink less than eight glasses a day. Your enviroment is toxic, your natural resources are dwindling, your days are numbered, but what ever you do, don't panic! The stress, don't you know, will kill you.

Random celebrity deaths (or random deaths in general) don't generally personally affect me. "Aw, that's sad, too bad, I hope his family gets through it" is about all you'll get from me when it comes to someone dying that I don't PERSONALLY know.
Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

I remember who he was. But honestly, it doesn't effect me at all that he died, doing what he did. Call me cold, but he was a racecar driver, and it wasn't unexpected (to me) that he was killed. So yeah, it sucks for his family, but I don't think you'll find me weeping about it, anytime soon.

He should of been "wearing" that new helment they had at the time. It might of saved his life. Well, it's require that all race car drivers wear it now. He suffered massive head truma.
Not to be cold, it didn't really affect me. I don't even watch racing. Although, I've been to Daytona 500 (on a practice race) as part of my trip with my family to Disney World back in 2004.
To be honest TV does take from the experince.

You guys would all be LYNCHED where I live, lol.
I'd like to add, that I think this sport is ridiculous. Racing is huge deal here, and just recently a police officer was killed at a local speedway in New Smyrna Beach racing a schoolbus in some demolition derby. My friend was there that night. The man had a wife and young kids, what the hell was he doing racing a freaking schoolbus? It's just insane.

Yell it was very said for me to see Dale Earnhardt die in a car at Daytona 500. It was also part of my trip with my family to Walt Disney world, but that was in May 2001.Chibisteven wrote:He should of been "wearing" that new helment they had at the time. You're comparing a death to a cancellation of a cartoon?

If I had to choose between somebody dying and being token away from their family against having a show put back on the air, I would take the first one and have them survive. It was very sad. It still hurts.

It wasn't. It ended in Japan with the end of the manga, and in the US, we just never got the license to Stars.

And if he's talking about Cartoon Network, they stopped showing it because thier broadcast license expired. They aired all the Sailor Moon episodes that were ever dubbed, several times over. That is not being cancelled.
