What's Sailor Pluto's job again?

She guards the Door of Space-Time. But as the Black Moon proved, she can be bypassed given the proper know-how. So the leaves the question, what's Pluto's job again? If her primary role can get rendered moot, what is her purpose?

And now that Pluto itself is no longer a planet, Setsuna's job security is more tenuous than ever.

She now attends Texas anime conventions in her princess dress, posing for various pictures and showing off her nifty time key.

Her job is to guard an arcane piece of technology often called "the doors to space and time". There are other name variations. But one failure does not discount her as an able guardian. Was it explicity stated the Dark Moon Clan used that particular technology or used another as a means to time travel?

I feel so uneasy. I know the general idea, but after viewing this, I'm now a little confused. Maybe I should watch Sailor Moon some more.

All joking aside, she controlled the element of time. Sh also can control space and guards the "Gate of Time", or is destined. But, I believe I went to Texas and got hher autograph at one time. XD

She controls the Gates of time, and commands who go through and who doesnt.
But I just got finished watching the episode where Black Lady goes through... Now Pluto is in trouble

Pluto used to be the guardian of the Gate of Time. But since she's no longer a planet, she was laid off her job and now makes a living asking "Do you want fries with that?"

During the Black Moon saga, she went off to try to seduce King Endymion since Neo Queen Serenity was asleep. Unfortunantly, the Black Moon family went through and she didn't notice.

Later she let them go back through the doors of space and time so she could get some more alone time with Endymion.

Even if she's not a planet anymore and just a dwarf or asteroid or whatever, she can still have an important job. Just look at Sailor Moon, she was centered around everything and she's not a planet.

In the Battle in The Time-Space Corridor episode (or whatever), Prince Demand (I seriously can't remember how they spell his name in the boxset) says something along the lines of "There aren't many visitors to THAT planet these days," indicating that Pluto guards some weird path that pertains to a few specific locations. It makes sense, since space and time are the same thing.
