Well I finished watching PGSM yesterday, pretty neat series, the beginning 'ballet-fu' was annoying to go through but it did get better later, and the plotline was really good.
As of now I am completly adoring Aino Minako and her song "C'est la Vie"

Oh, good! I just joined the board (This is my first post. Hi, everyone!) and I was hoping to find a topic of PGSM.
I've seen up to Act 37, and am waiting for the final batch torrent from TV-Nihon to finish downloading so I may finish what has quickly one of my favorite incarnations of the Sailor Moon Dark Kingdom story.

Watched all of PGSM, fantastic, although it was quite weird.
There seems to be much more character development than in the anime or manga. Well-done, although they could have kept Luna CG all the time, when the Luna Plushie is walking, it looks really crappy.
I'm happy about the music, it's as great as the anime's. Did you see the Kirari Super Live and Backstage specials? Those were hilarious. xD

PGSM was a decent re-write of SMC. Best thing I liked was they made Minako her true self as opposed some valley-girl in the anime.
I suspect that they were under budget when they created the Shinentou costumes. I mean.....silver boots? Flaming red hair? A Dolly Parton wig? Now I know where all the 1970 era music video props went to.

Whatcha talking about? I thought the Shitennou looked awesome (well except Jadeite, but that had to do with more of his face rather than his outfit), and it was great seeing how they changed up the Shitennou from the Anime/Manga (well Jadeite stayed mostly the same)bioengineer wrote:PGSM was a decent re-write of SMC. Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

I've seen up to Act 8... I really like what I've seen so far but whenever I take a break and come back it's really hard to adjust to it again. I think the girl who played Usagi (Err... her name is on the tip of my tongue!) can be a little chessy and a not-so-great actor at times but I figure it's her character.
I found Usagi's mom really weird for some reason. Whenever I see her I always think her and her kid are the same age... o.o

It takes more than a scary looking costume for a villain to be viewed as a threat by both audience and characters.
Look at Kunzite. he doesn't appear to be the most threatening thing based on his looks, but his actions made me afraid of him, especially with the really big sword.
And, personally, (Act 36/37 Spoiler)
I thought Nephlite looked scarier without his Shitennou get up that he had after he was "killed"
Dude..it's SAILOR MOON. It's meant for children. It's not SUPPOSED to seriously scare you or give you nightmares. This isn't a horror flick.bioengineer wrote:I was not bashing the Shitennou per say. If the studio designers were shooting for instilling absolute fear and awe among the veiwers, they totally failed. In fact none of the monsters or other bad guys frightened me or gave me nightmares, more on the clown-comical side.

PGSM Usagi is the most adorable thing ever XD I love her smile especially.
Actually, I liked how they handled all of the characters in the series for the most part. Human/Sailor Luna kind of urked me though, but at least she wasn't a 40 year old British nanny

As for the Shitennou, I agree with The 2nd Evil. Looks can deceive and Kunzite was freaking creepy. Speaking of villians, Beryl was more organized in PGSM : ) and I love how instead of bringing a new one out after the current died, they let all four be present at once to interact with each other >_> and compete in a lot of cases.
