Does anyone like this? I think it's the worst sailor moon song ever. I prefer The japanese version better.

The English version of the theme song was okay. Since it did sound sort of like the original theme, that was a plus, but the song was about the Soldiers instead, and not about being in love.

But for an English song, I thought it was handled rather well. I mean... *Shudders* You know, it could've been worse. ^^;

I liked the English song, and I kind of miss it.

I think that, like the series it was altered, changed, maybe made totally different.
But for what is was it was, it was still a good song.

It was still relevant to the show.

But that doesn't meen you have to like it.

I think a lot of the lyrics to the english theme are horrible, and very unresearched (never running from a real fight? -_- )

I do, however, think it's cool that they kept the tune really, really close to the original.

It's catchy and cute. The lyrics are a bit...goofy (not quite the word I want), but it fits the dubbed version I guess.
I do prefer the Japanese version though

I liked it until I heard Moonlight Densetsu. And yeah, the lyrics are cheezy as heeelll.

It's all right, but I don't really like it. For the most part, they kept the original melody, and the campy lyrics fit in with the theme of the dub. It works. Everything accept for "never running from a real fight," seeing as how they made Serena even more immature and flighty than Usagi.

It's good for what it is... of course, things could always be worse.

Also, never use the term "Jap". It's very disrespectful to the Japanese. A better abbreviation might be JPN or just Japanese.

I've always liked the english version of the theme song. It always just made me so happy when I'd sing ti and then the whole room of people would start singing and then I'd be like, what the crap.

Who knew so many people watched Sailor Moon at one point in their life?

For the opening to an edited dub, the English Sailor Moon theme song is fairly decent. It's at least a lot better than some other dub theme songs. *coughcardcaptorscough* I liked how they kept the original melody, but I don't like how they replaced the original tune with synthesizer music and the lyrics seem more like a summarization of the plot rather than an actual song. Of course, I've always liked Sailor Stars Song better than Moonlight Densetsu anyway, but that's beside the point.

And secondly...don't use terms like "Jap" and "Chink" in an offensive manner. I didn't mind when you used it as an appreviation (Jap version), becuase I'm pretty sure that's what you were doing, but do NOT use those words as insults. It's disrespectful.

No... the original can be pretty cheesy at times. I'm well aware of that. The difference is that Moonlight Densetsu is a song about destined love, which is the theme of the entire show. The English song is an opening summary for a North American kid's show.

Either way, they both suit their mediums. The English song works for what DiC turned Sailor Moon into, and Moonlight Densetsu works for what Sailor Moon was to begin with.

Yes...it's the cheesiest of the cheese. But...I can't help but sing to it at any given moment.

But what recently began to bother me is the opening lines..."Fighting evil by moonlight, winning love by daylight." ??? Doesn't she usually fight during the daytime? Lol.

But, either way, nothing compares to the original.

That line always made me gag even before I knew there was a japanese version of the show (sailormoon was my first anime)
