Hey, all (long time no type  ) Yes, I moved. Italy. Yes, school is hecktic. Also, yes, I'm not as into the anime scene as I used to be. Mostly because I don't have as ready access to it as I used to. i.e. the movies are like Eva 1-2 & 5-7 order (missing huge chunks or just plain ol'crap, in ot...

Is it strange for me to be surprised this made so much news internationally? As Em said, we're strangely used to news of bombings, but I don't remember if Omagh made quite as many headlines and am forced to wonder if G8 or Al Qaeda fever is the reason behind the publicity. I don't think that it's s...

Ooh, Daria topic. Fun! My mom, little sister and I used to watch Daria on Mtv every week. It was one of my favorite shows. I saw it a couple of times on "The N," but I REALLY hate censorship in that way so I can't stand to watch it. I would definatly buy it if they put it out on DVD. I wonder why th...

This looks really interesting. I love Whedon to know end (he's coming to Dragon*Con ::fangirl squeal::). And to answer your question Jed-kun, Serenity takes off from Whedon's short-lived tv series, Firefly. OH! I thought that it looked familier. My sister used to watch that show. Thanks for the inf...

I'm, generally speaking, NOT a fan of the sci-fi genre, but I really like Whedon and this looks good. What "series" are they talking about? Books, comics, T.V., games? I've never heard of this before now. I'd do a search, but I don't know anything about it and the word "Serenity" is way to vague.

Why do I think it's wrong... 1. The Pope is a largely political figure today. After a Pope who appologized for the Church, retroactively, appointing a Pope who WAS a Nazi (it's sited in numerous articles) is very poor politics. I equate it to appointing a "reformed" Pamela Anderson to head of a Comm...

Benedict the Nazi

I found out today durring my Art Appreciation class that the new pope is/was a Nazi. He was in the "Hitler's Youth" AND was in the Nazi army. Yes, I know that these things were required at the time, that doesn't change the fact that I think it's wrong. Anyway, I was just wondering what everybody's t...

I tried the site and it's quite fun. There were many that amused me. However, this one nearly made me fall off my chair with laughter.

I first heard about this on Bleedman's (the guy who does the PPG Doujinshi[sp?]) deviant art site. I wasn't sure if it was real or fan art though. Now I'm really really really happy!

I don't think you sound cold. I don't really expect anyone who isn't Catholic to feel this big sense of loss. If you do, that's great, but it's not that big a deal if you don't. Really the biggest effect on me it has is that the already SLOW movement here is gonna come to a screaming halt. What slo...

Now this may sound cold, but I really am actually a little sad. For a Pope he was pretty cool, but I'm not Catholic so it's not really that big a deal to me. Really the biggest effect on me it has is that the already SLOW movement here is gonna come to a screaming halt. Again though, he was a pretty...

I have to say that I think the husband made the right choice in letting her die. However, I don't know how true either side (parents or husband) was to her wishes. There wasn't any documentation, which I know of, saying that she would want to die in that kind of situation. However, her husband stuck...

Anyone remember the Blues Traveler music video for "Run Around"? This video has references to Oz. I remember it. My dad was really into the Blues Traveler for a while. I remember that it had Dorothy and 3 guys (dressed simularly to the characters from Oz, only grunge 90's) trying to get into this c...

My sister is into the anime, but I'm not really into it. It's kinda funny and cute, but for the most part it's just girls jiggling and things blowing up. Which, on some occasions, is fun, but I'm just not into that genre much.

Sorry to veer off of the current topic of The Ring (2), but I was looking up X-3 stuff and noticed that there were new project projections out for 2006 & 2007. Particularly the Punisher 2, Hulk 2 and Spider-Man 3 movies caught my eye. I saw "The Punisher" and I thought that it was a B movie at best....

I just thought I'd add to the general chorus of WTF and add a side of What about freedom of speech? I don't see how they could go much farther(further?), his "threat" was vague and involved the use of Zombies. Basically they're saying people can't write fictional stories based in fictional situation...

Personally, I'm not a big fan of the "re-vamp" type stuff in general. It's the same reason I don't like Baby LoonyToons or Tom & Jerry Kids. If you want to make something new than have the balls to take a chance and acctually MAKE SOMETHING NEW rather than injecting old characters with staroids and ...

OMFG! I knew the school was bad but REALLY! That's just sick! I can't say that it really surprises me all that much though. I doubt that you will know anybody, Parakiss. The story said that he didn't "produce" the pictures and that they doubted any of the local children were involved. They say that...
