Re: Double Standards with Women

That's exactly what I've been thinking about all along. The police are biased when it comes to these things. I'm a man, & I surely believe that it's more than men abusing women, but it's actually women who abuse men. A lot more than men abusing women. Plus they get away with it. They will even lie ...

Question: Anyone able to form any explanation as to what the heck they were doing with sailboards? I think they meant it to go with the "sailor" part of the title. The idea for the sailor outfits was drawn off of school uniforms in Japan, so I think that the company that would have redone the show ...

While I don't see why a refund couldn't have been given, you'd be surprised at the sheer stupidity of people. I've had a customer call the police on me for refusing to give a refund to a customer until they came back to my window in a car. Crazy shit. I should've made the news since unlike this res...

I myself was never interested in it, but I knew people who were. My ex-boyfriend was into it for a while, but I think a lack of time for it and waning interest in any case caused him to stop. Someone else I once knew got into it to the point of becoming so obsessed with his game that he started lett...

The whole working women bashing stay at home women I've heard a lot. Although I have heard it the other way around. Example: My sister (who lives in Mexico) is a working mom of two, her husband works and one of her kids goes to school while the other (who's nine months) is taken care of by her moth...

Your friend had no right to do that to you, and the fact that she pretty much threw you into a pit of cobras makes it sound like she had no interest in maintaining your friendship unless it was on her terms. I'd go talk to the preacher of her church and tell him/her how that made you feel. If they ...

That made me think of a story I once heard somewhere where a little boy asked his dad in a store one day if he could get a baby doll. The dad said he would think about it, and they left the store. Over the next few days, the dad couldn't figure out why his son (who was somewhere between 6 and 9 at t...

Well, work was fun last night. I work as an overnight stocker at Wal-Mart in the infants department. All of our glass jars of baby food come in cases with 12 jars in each case. It's not uncommon to have broken jars, in which case I usually throw out the entire case for saftey and sanitary reasons (...

I think that what's so hot about Edward is the fact that he's painted to look that way. And I think that this fandom is no different from any other. Yes, the books are aimed at a certain age group, but they're also written where anyone reading them can enjoy them if that's the type of story they lik...

I consider myself a fan of the series, but not to the point of being a total fangirl over it. I think it was actually a very good series all the way to the end, and I think that it's worth the read. And I liked the movie, because unlike a lot of book-to-movie adaptations, I thought this one turned o...

Alright, I just saw this recently and... really... Steve Carell is one of the best actors out there right now. Get Smart Basically, it takes the series from the 60s and 70s, and tries to add to it rather than copy it. Gags from the original series are kept in, like the long pathway with the 4-5 clo...

I have to agree mostly with Senshi_of_Vision on this one. Those of us who are not black could never really understand what kind of treatment they have (or do) live with. I can understand how the black community would feel like they've gained a huge victory here, however I also have to point out the ...

I've seen all of the first season and read all of the manga, and plan to order the second season soon. I personally think it's one of the better series made in that it's just different from other anime/manga. It actually deals with a mature issue without throwing in excessive violence, nudity, and/o...

In regards to Sailor Earth, I know that Naoko herself (or is my brain being fuzzy?) stated that Mamoru was basically the "Senshi" of the Earth, and being so, there was no need for a "Sailor Earth"? I wonder if there was some confusion on that point, or maybe people just love to fill the internet an...

People are idiots. That is one of the three fundamental facts of life. Why anyone would intentionally bother any animal is beyond me. Well, there are a couple of episodes in the anime where it's hinted at that Mamoru already knows how lucky he is to have Usagi. One of them happens in SuperS, and if you count it, there's that one part in the R movie. There may have been more, but they are of course so few and far between.

I knew (as did most of us, I'm sure) for a long time now that the people who come up with these reality shows were scraping the bottom of the bucket for ideas. I think with this one they've clawed right through the bottom. ZOMG total big spoilerz!!!!1111 [spoiler]I predict a few months after the ser...
